Christmas Reindeer

Do you ever wonder why reindeer are popular around Christmas? Part of reindeer being popular with Christmas has to do with the story about Santa and his sleigh. For many generations since the story of Santa we have make reindeer a big part of Christmas. Did you know that reindeer are native to North America and the Arctic?  They are called caribou as well. There are other species of reindeer too. Now why they are so popular is the stories about reindeer that are only told around Christmas. Rudolph the red nosed reindeer this story has been told through the generations to. Reindeer in both stories were said to have been able to fly and pull Santa sleigh. These stories captured the spirit of Christmas for Children.

As we were all children once and we loved to hear these stories, which gave our imagination a wild ride before Christmas day. Not to mention that you can find knick-knacks of reindeer, candy shaped like reindeer, and even cookie cutters shaped like reindeer.
